What Are Estimated Bedrooms?

Follow

You may notice some properties have estimated bedrooms. This is because some counties don’t include bedroom counts in the public record. We want agents to be able to use Remine to its fullest potential, and we understand filtering by bedroom count is crucial.

We created a machine-learning model that uses property characteristics that are highly predictive of the number of bedrooms in a residential property. We've found that our estimate is correct 80% of the time in most counties across the U.S.

Deciphering Estimated Bedroom Total

Our estimate is generally a range, so we display the lower end of the range on the property card and Property Details page (e.g., for an estimate of 2-3 bedrooms, we display 2 bedrooms). If you apply the Beds filter with a minimum of 2, you would see properties with 2-3 estimated bedrooms, but not properties with 1-2 estimated bedrooms. If you apply the Beds filter with a maximum of 2, you would see only properties with 1-2 estimated bedrooms.

The following table displays what our estimate looks like as compared to the number that appears on the property card and Property Details page.

Our Estimated Range Number of Estimated Bedrooms We Display
0 to 1 0
1 to 2 1
2 to 3 2
3 to 4 3
4 to 5 4
5+ 5
