Managing the MLS Visibility for Documents within your Transactions can be a helpful tool to ensure your listings are up-to-date with relevant information, but we receive occasional inquiries about the feature not functioning as expected. This article is here to lay out the rules for managing MLS Visibility, including scenarios in which the feature will not update visibility for documents.
Listing Ownership
One of the rules in place which dictates whether or not you can add documents to a listing is the ownership of the listing. You must be the Listing Agent on the listing in the MLS in order to add documents to the listing. You will not be able to update MLS Visibility for documents using the MLS # of a listing for which you are not the listing agent. Note: This means if you are admin or broker, you will need to impersonate an agent to make their Docs visible on their listing; you cannot do this through your own account.
Listing Status
Another rule in place which dictates whether or not you can add documents to a listing is the status of the listing. Listings must be in either the Active or Coming Soon status in the MLS in order to add documents to the listing. You will not be able to update MLS Visibility for documents using the MLS # of a listing in any other status.
Listing Office
Another rule in place which dictates whether or not you can add documents to a listing is the Office ID attached to the listing in the MLS. The Office ID attached to the listing must match the Office ID on your Remine account in order to add documents to the listing. If there is a mismatch, but you are the Listing Agent, please contact our Support team for further investigation.
If you meet all of these rules, and you are still encountering issues updating the MLS Visibility for documents in a Transaction folder, please reach out to our Support team with the following details:
- Name of Transaction Folder
- Name(s) of Document(s) to be added to Listing
- Desired MLS Visibility status
- MLS # for your Listing
